Thursday evening after dinner clean up...still putting dishes away.
This morning, Friday, getting ready to unload all the bottom cabinets and appliances.
Young "G" men getting things taken apart. Yes, you see dishes still in the dishwasher. Amidst getting the dishwasher unloaded, young maiden needed to use the rest room and Daddy decided to start without her getting stuff put away. No worries! :)
First piece of the puzzle is loose!
Mr. G took a good look at this sink and said to me, "I think you'll be needing to get a new sink. Just go get one, don't go nuts, but get a faucet and clear caulking too." Yippee!
The young men especially LOVED this part--taking things apart. The only thing they wanted to do that they didn't get to do is use a pick axe! LOL
Mr. G pulling up the old icky carpeting...after over 6 years of waiting! Such a sweet sweet sight in my eyes! :)
The ickiest part of the kitchen that I didn't see until uploading this picture. They took this picture while I was gone and, God love 'em, they cleaned up the spider webs just for me!
Mr. G getting the linoleum started while the young men and maiden help.
Pulling and straightening. What joy! Progress!
It is coming together!! Hooray!
This is where we stopped for the day. Shims were needed and Mr. G said the local lumber store was closed for the day, just a little after 5PM. With his back the way it is, we're taking this project slowly and making sure he's resting his back when it is bothering him. God gave him strength to get this far, and now it is time to rest. Praise God from whom all blessings flow!
