"Ok, kiddos, sit here on the log so I can take your picture looking like blueberries!" LOL
The white line you see here along the bottom of this picture ^^^^^^ is where we begin. From this point to a number of other lines marked through the area is how we keep track of how far we've gone. :)
Yes, the ice cream sign doesn't do us any good either since we're trying to exercise! LOL
All 3 kids love the water. When we come here, we always take time for them to go down and see the water. :)
We are so abundantly blessed by such gorgeous beauty around us here. This road is only 4 miles from our house!
I am truly humbled by an AMAZING God who would bless me with all of this beauty.
Breathtakingly beautiful!
While walking, there is a bit of the forest where "baby" pine trees are growing. It's just amazing how dense it is. The woodsy-piney scent of the forest with the water rippling gently past while we walk is heavenly!
I see you there behind the tree trying to take my picture! LOL
Can you see the canoers? What a blessing!
Primitive rustic cabins that they rent out all year around.
This is the best I could do at connecting the two pictures. From one side of the view to the other, it is simply breathtakingly beautiful. Some people bring their camping chairs down here and sit beside the river to read a book. It is that peaceful here! :)
I don't know what it was about today, but my kids must have thought it was make silly faces in to the camera day! LOL
A Picture....
Beautiful awesomeness!
This is the winter fun area. To the right, just outside the picture is a sledding hill. In front of the camera is an indented area where they fill with water so it freezes and makes an ice skating rink. :)
A boy climbing the hill. What fun for them!
The older boy already made it up!

| Favorite umbrella, jacket and shoes, jeans bought for pennies at a yard sale, time playing around with the kids~priceless! |
This was our afternoon today. Now the oldest is working on his Chemistry. We've already done Spelling, LA for the 2 olders, the younger one wanted to shower after tromping in the woods. He still needs to finish LA and Math. He's finished his book report on Anne Frank, then he'll have to go read for fun and practice his piano lesson. All 3 of the kids will begin their Bible memory work for the week today since we were working in the basement yesterday.
The Lord has certainly blessed us abundantly. For that we are so very grateful. We began purposeful steps to getting closer to God 10 years ago. What a blessing it has been to see how He has poured out His love for us who love Him. Abundant, overflowing, perfect peace!
