I've been learning some "new to me" techniques this past week.
I learned how to do a mitered corner eyelet corner. I'm learning to do many different stitches in preparation to making some Christmas gifts that I do not have experience with this year.

My mother knits and crochets. She taught me how years ago, but, and this is new since my head injury, the feel on the yarn going through my fingers freaks me out (I also can't hold a popcicle stick any more). Anyway, I now stick with sewing. I love sewing! But it isn't exactly something you can do in the car or on the sofa while hanging out watching a movie with the family.
I also make homemade soap. But that can't be done in the car or on the sofa either. :)
