Slow and Steady

Me, being very overtaken with upper respiratory infection.  Mr. G thought the lighting shining on me and the way my hair looked was nice, so he got out the camera.  I wasn't feeling up to opening my eyes and smiling, so like a good subject, I stayed really still...and almost fell asleep.  LOL
Sleep...I did a lot of that....

Knitting project...
 ...and lots of knitting...

Birds and home made suet.

...and watched a lot of birds...

Today I am feeling a bit better.  After finishing the upper respiratory infection, somehow I got something else,  so my throat and all my neck glands have been on fire, swollen and painful.  Tea, soup, coffee...anything hot has felt so very good on my throat.  I think I have drank enough tea to be equivalent to the Boston Tea Party!  And, I've realized something through all of this...

....well, a few things actually...

...I need bigger tea cups...

...that match...at least 2 of them...

...and bird watching, drinking tea and knitting really lend themselves nicely together, just in case you didn't know.

I've also learned that God wanted me to slow down.  It's ok to rest.  It's ok to be sick and recouperate, getting a small amount of school done each day....not what I wanted to accomplish, but it's progress.

Slow and steady progress...

I've also learned that I need to grant myself some grace in times like this.

Do a little cleaning here and there (like the refrigerator today), then rest, because  I'm not 100% yet.  Sooner or later, I'll get better, then I will be off to the races working to get garden stuff done.

But for now, I rest.
