My mind is seriously spinning right now with everything I need to keep track of. I have this monumental task to take care of, keep track of and report on one year from now, not just for one grade, but 3. This isn't as easy as it was when my kids were little when I could make one subject pull double duty. The differences between them and their own needs are becoming more defined.
I'm seriously considering cloning myself at the moment. That way everything would get done for everyone. Yeah, right. I know! I know! It wouldn't solve anything.
So, today I called my dear friend and asked her to talk to me about one of her favorite subjects--Edu Tracker. While I sat there listening to her tell me about this fabulous program, I kept thinking to myself, "It is just like Quicken, but for home educators!" LOL Right now I have a love/hate relationship with my Quicken program. I would love to say that we're on speaking terms, but we're not and it is all my fault. So, this Edu Tracker program would help me to not have to think. Just take about a week at the beginning of the school year to write everything up, then you don't have to worry about it. "Hmmmm, ok." I've decided to send it to my husband to get his thoughts on it and approval when the time comes.
As for now, though, I continue to type lesson questions for tons of science and civics stuff. I think that's all I'm going to do for now. While I was typing this morning, the thought came to me, "I should get a lesson plan and grading book." Then I thought, perhaps I should look in to those programs like Home School Tracker (didn't care for it years ago) and Edu Tracker. We'll see how things go.
With all of this, no I haven't progressed much. I do know that I'm going to keep typing, but first, I think I'll take a quick nap.
...just cuz we're off school now...
