Busy-ness & Blessed-ness

At the risk of embarrassment, I'm going to post pictures--one before--one after, of my linen closet.  This particular area has been the BIGGEST issue for me in this area for 3 years, since the shelf came down.

I've been praying for how to deal with the organization of the sheets for so very long.  I'd get in to the closet whisper short little arrow-like prayers to God asking for His divine assistance with this issue.

So, today, I decided to take matters in my own hands.

The sheets in the closet have been my issue for a very long time.  The shelf broke and I needed to find an alternative at the time because my hubby didn't like drilling 16 times, each an inch apart, to find a stud in the wall making more work once he found it in repairing the holes.    So, the basket is my daughter's shoes because she wanted to repaint her room for her birthday, so all of her stuff is in the hallway.  Not sure why the sock is there, probably a "splash" of reality for all of you to see.  Then there is the ever faithful-to-follow-me-everywhere-I-go, Biscuit.

The somewhat finished product.  My hubby added some additional support to the shelf with the lovely 70's shelf paper on it.  The bottom of the closet, well, I'm not sure.   (Note:  The floor had been vacuumed before the carpenter extraordinaires came to do their job.  Oops!  Should have waited!)

On the shelf to the left is queen sized fitted and flat sheets inside pillow cases.  There are 3 sets.  On the right there are 3 sets of twin sheets--one fitted and one flat inside their pillow case.  I found this idea on Pinterest. Yes, I know, strange in some ways, but it works!

I love the decluttered-ness of this!  Now, on Wednesday, I'll tackle the rest of the closet, taking note of things needed before cold and flu season begin in our home!

And, for the record, there was an ENTIRE white trash bag FULL of stuff to give away from this decluttering session!  :)
