This is what our kitchen looked like this morning. Closest to you, you'll see my Bosche that gets a workout. In the middle of the stove top is a frozen package of already made pizza dough just taken out to defrost for dinner. The crock pot base will house our leftover chili for lunch. My tulip pot that holds my vine has a temporary spot there on the peninsula while we get ready for breakfast. Beyond that to your extreme right, you'll see my buffet table, or rather a corner of it. It has a little bit of clutter to be taken care of, we're not perfect by any means. To the left of that is the dishes counter. It's relatively free of stuff right now, but it has been known to be very full and needing attention. Right now it has the red bin where the dirty dishes go. When that gets full or overflowing, it is time for the dish washing person to do the dishes. ;) My husband's lunch bag isn't usually sitting right there, although that's probably a good place for it. To the left you'll see a very tall soon-to-be 16 year old young man who has long surpassed his mother in height. He's making coffee. To the left of this wonderful young man is our strainer, bread maker, soup/chili cup holder, coffee pot (right below the coffee cups), toaster, an almost 12 year old young man who is teasing his older brother. To the left of that you'll see my refrigerator. It has our menu on it along with stuff from our new church for us to look at and remember for the future.
This is the view of the dining room from the kitchen. I have a 3 shelf bookshelf to the upper right with much of the religious education material and cookbooks in it. The radio is playing praise music. Usually my binder that holds plans for everything is under the radio, but I've been using it with planning for next school year. The dining room table has JL's multi vitamins on it and The Joy of Signing on it. This shows how the children love to be able to look things up and practice them at any time, even during a meal. :0) It looks like I need to pick up that tshirt on the floor and make it in to tomato tie ups for the garden. I also need to get the laundry basket put away.
This is my kitchen, where my loved ones gather, the hub of busy-ness in my home. We are not perfect, but we're striving to always keep our eyes on Jesus, which gives us perfect peace.
This is what my kitchen looked like this morning. How about you?
